Events are server-wide happenings in Build a Country: scheduled live shows run by the developer, seasonal limited-time events, and automatic weekend boosts.
Alien Invasion event: Saturday, September 26 to Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Live admin shows
The developer, canard, hosts a live show every Wednesday and Saturday at 14:00 UTC, lasting about 30 minutes. The HUD shows a countdown to the next one. During a show the server gets chains of boosts, restocks and weather back to back, and some boosts keep running after the show ends.
Things that can happen during a show:
| Icon | Event | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 2x / 4x / 8x Cash | Everything you earn is multiplied for the length of the boost. | |
| 2x Luck | Rarer shop items appear more often. | |
| 2x Damage | Your troops hit twice as hard. | |
| 2x Speed | Everyone moves twice as fast. | |
| 2x Build | Everything builds twice as fast. | |
| Restocks | The whole shop fills with a chosen rarity, up to "everything in stock". Potions too. | |
| Disco | Lights and music. | |
| Raining Tacos | Tacos fall from the sky; pick them up and sell them (50 coins each). | |
| Canard Storm | A storm sweeps the map. | |
| Snowfall / Aurora / Rain / Windy / Heatwave / Thunderstorm | The developer can trigger any weather. See Weather. | |
| Alien Invasion | See below. Abducted produce sells for 100x. |
Global 2x cash events can also be switched on by the developer for any length of time, in every server at once.
Alien Invasion
A rare event that plays during admin shows (first seen August 20, 2026). It does not happen during the Alien Invasion event. Flying saucers rush every land flag and drop aliens under them: 5 regular Aliens on each of flags 1 to 12, and Huge Aliens on the centre flag 13. Aliens are a third side: they fight players and zombies alike, and a flag with living aliens and no living human troops flips to the alien nation. Players recapture flags the normal way. A Huge Alien splits into three regular Aliens when it dies. Aliens can never hit planes. When the event ends, saucers return to every alien-held flag and abduct the troops away; the flags stay alien-owned until someone takes them.
Produce Abducted during the event sells for 100x. The alien also opens a secret shop: stand next to it during the event to buy the UFO (1,000,000 coins), a flying saucer you keep forever.
| Alien | Health | Damage | Attack every | Range | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alien | 300 | 22 | 1.1s | 4.5 | 6 |
| Huge Alien | 1,400 | 45 | 1.2s | 9 | 5 |
Alien Invasion event
Saturday, September 26 to Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The update released on Saturday, September 26 at 14:30 UTC, right after that day's live show. The event ends at 14:00 UTC on October 21. This time the aliens stay for almost four weeks. The event brings two new currencies, an Alien shop, 13 limited-time alien buildings, 14 moon decorations, three alien units and an Alien Boss every hour.
Alien Cash and Alien Fragments
- Alien Cash comes from alien homes (rent) and alien economy buildings. Time skips pay it too. It buys most alien buildings and every moon decoration.
- Alien Fragments drop when your troops kill aliens: 100 for a regular Alien and 150 for a Huge Alien. Kills by your defense buildings count too. The Alien Boss pays Fragments for the damage your army does to it (see below). Fragments buy the three Exotic alien buildings: the UFO Hangar, the Mothership Dock and the Cargo Launch Pad.
The Alien shop
The alien NPC sells the event buildings and the moon decorations. Its shop opens in 10-minute sessions. Stock rolls with every normal restock. The three Fragment buildings are Exotic, so they are rare in stock. Each alien building costs more with every copy you buy: the second copy costs 2x, the third 3x, and so on. The Herb Farm is paid with coins.
- Homes: Crew Dome, Sleeping Pods, Crater Home, Alien Guest House, Colony Tower, Mothership Dock.
- Economy: Herb Farm, Ice Water Plant, Moon Rock Mine, Solar Array, Cargo Launch Pad.
- Military: Alien Trooper Base (trains Alien Troopers), UFO Hangar (launches UFOs).
Full stats are on the Buildings page. Alien citizens work in your buildings like any other citizen and pay Alien Cash rent. When the event ends the shop closes, but every alien building you own keeps working: homes pay coin rent, and economy buildings pay coins at the best rate of their rarity. Alien buildings bought with Alien Cash or Fragments can no longer be sold after the event.
During the event the Store sells the Golden Launch Pad, a Robux-only building and the best production building in the game. It makes Alien Cash and coins at the same time. See Robux Shop.
The Alien Boss
Every hour on the hour (UTC), in every server, a giant saucer lowers the Alien Boss onto the centre flag (13). If a live show starts that hour, the boss skips it. While the boss is there, flag 13 turns alien and cannot be captured. The boss only attacks troops that are walking to flag 13 or standing on it, so troops waiting on other flags are safe. During the fight every player is allied with everyone, so nobody can attack other players' troops or take their flags. Your own alliances come back when the fight ends.
The boss has 80,000 health, plus 20,000 for every player who can fight when it lands (troops out or a defense launcher built). You have 5 minutes to beat it, or it flies away. It walks around the flag between attacks:
- Slam: it jumps and smashes the ground, hitting ground units in a big circle.
- Laser: an eye beam that sweeps across the ground.
- Plasma orbs: it throws orbs at your troops, one after another.
- UFO throw: a saucer crash-lands next to it, and it throws the saucer at the biggest crowd.
- Plane fling: it grabs a plane, and up to 4 more planes near it, with a tractor beam and flings them. The boss is the only alien that can hurt planes.
It calls for backup at 85%, 70%, 55%, 40%, 25% and 10% health, and every minute: helpers land next to it and a wave of aliens lands on every other land flag. At 35% it gets angry: it roars, then does a MEGA JUMP that instantly kills up to 30 troops around it, planes too. After that it attacks faster, slams bigger and throws more orbs. Red circles on the ground show where the slam, the orbs and the thrown saucer will land.
Every player whose troops, planes or defense buildings hit the boss gets 1 Alien Fragment for every 15 damage they did, up to 10,000, even if the boss flies away. Planes and Artillery do half damage to the boss. When the boss dies, flag 13 unlocks but stays alien until someone captures it. Ready defense launchers fire at the boss when they have no other fight to join.
Alien units
- Alien Trooper (Alien Trooper Base): a tough melee fighter.
- UFO (UFO Hangar): the strongest unit in the game. Its death ray hits a whole group. Max 2 per player.
- Alien Grunt: UFOs beam these down every 90 seconds. They never count toward your army limit.
See Military for their stats.
Ancient Egypt
September 5 to September 26, 2026. A new currency, Ancient Cash, and 11 limited-time Egyptian buildings sold by the event NPC: Oasis Camp, Palm Village, Obelisk Square, Kitty Statue (homes), Papyrus Farm, Camel Caravan, Gold Mine, Great Sphinx, Great Pyramid (economy), the Mummy Tomb (trains Mummies) and the Robux-only Great Golden Pyramid, which pays both coins and Ancient Cash. Each event building is better than its regular-shop counterpart. Prices rise a little with every purchase. After the event ends the shop closes, but every Egyptian building you own keeps working and produces coins instead of Ancient Cash. The event NPC's shop opens in 10-minute sessions. The Alien Invasion event took its place on September 26.
Golden Ops
August 12 to September 5, 2026. Eight quest sets with escalating rewards: a Rare building, an Epic, a Legendary, two Legendaries, more Legendaries, Mythics, two Mythics, and the final prize, the Golden Helipad, which launches Golden Helicopters. The Golden Helipad can no longer be obtained.
Builder Blitz
Every Saturday and Sunday (UTC) all builder speed is doubled on top of cabins, the gamepass and skills. A banner shows while it is active.
Donation parties
Large donations on the Donation Board throw a party for the donor's server: a Disco at 4,000 Robux or more, and Raining Tacos at 16,000 Robux or more, with a shout-out in every server.
